Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

The happiest little boy came to visit me again in the studio for his 1 Year Studio Cakesmash in Woodbridge VA. Since Landry has a fall birthday his mom wanted to have a fall themed set up. His mom and I both love fall, like a lot, so we ended up having 3 different set ups! We may have gone a little overboard but hey, it is fall and he will only turn one once! I had one setup ready when they arrived and his mom brought lots of fun props for the other two setups. She even made the “Landry” sign the day before the session! How fun is this?!
We started his session with the “little pumpkin” setup and got super cute images of his non-stop smiles. We then switched the setup and brought in the hay bale. Laundry LOVED playing in the hay. Once this set up was done he wasn’t too happy with me sweeping away the hay. Last but not least was his cake smash setup! We had a fun orange and black banner and the cutest little cake that Landry managed to get his hands on while we transitioned between setups. We knew he would go for the cake smash and he sure did!! His mom sat him down and he immediately started grabbing for it. He ate the little pumpkin first then he smashed it, rolled in it, and he even offered me cake! Once he was over it, he spotted the hay bale and crawled over to it. He was then covered in icing with hay stuck to him. It was hysterical!!
While editing, I felt like I could still smell the yummy smelling icing!
