Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

What happens when an American girl and an Irish guy fall in love? They get married on the 4th of July at Shadow Creek! Frances and Theresa are such a fun loving couple. Their wedding theme was “better together” like the Jack Johnson song and how more true could this be after seeing them together for the first time at their engagement session.
They both have a heart of gold and as Theresa’s sisters mentioned in their Matron of Honor speeches, Theresa always loves doing sweet things for others. I saw this almost immediately after their speeches. After Theresa and Frances cut their wedding cake, they cut a piece for Theresa’s grandfather who was turning 95 on July 5th. His reaction was priceless and so sweet. See the photo of him below, he is adorable!!!
After they cut the cake, an ice cream cookie sandwich pop up arrived. How fun is that!!
Seeing two different cultures come together made this wedding so unique. There was an American flag and an Irish flag. In Theresa’s wedding band are three stones: orange, green, and white like the Irish flag. Theresa even had an American garter and Irish garter!
Hearing all the accents made me smile. I couldn’t get over it. I also couldn’t quite understand it, haha. At the end of the night, the guys lined up on one side and the girls lined up on the other. They all sat on the floor and did a traditional Irish dance they do at all Irish weddings. Not what comes to my mind when I think of an Irish dance but I loved every second of it. Looked so much fun.
Special thank you to all vendors who made Theresa and France’s wedding so special.
