Hello world. Meet Alexandria Grace Botta!! Photographing my own newborn is a moment I’ll never forget. I teared up a little when I photographed her at 4 days new because I just couldn’t believe she was mine and I was photographing MY baby. I’ve photographed countless newborns so this was extra special. I photographed Ally several times in the studio. The first at 4 days and again at 11, 13, and 14 days. There were so many poses I wanted to do and macro shots I wanted to get. I didn’t want to stop until I had gotten everything I wanted captured.
Several people asked why she came so early and if I fell. I didn’t fall nor do I have any idea why she came so early. I’m just so thankful she wasn’t too premature to where she needed to be in the NICU. I always knew preemie babies were small and not as developed but had no idea that meant so much more. Just blessed she is here and we are all doing well as a family of 3.
Now that she’s been in our life for a month, I have SO much respect for momma’s out there. I knew being a mom was hard but until you’re a mom, it’s so hard to explain. It’s the hardest and most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.
