Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

In November 2017 I photographed my second to last wedding of the year. Jenna and Dave said I do at the beautiful Bluemont Vineyards in Bluemont VA. You’d never know by looking at their photos but their wedding was about 15 degrees and windy! Guys it was freezing! I could not feel my toes. I can’t imagine how cold Jenna and her girls were in their dresses.
The entire wedding party was one of the nicest bridal parties I’ve ever photographed!! They were all so sweet to each other and to me! They made sure I was doing ok since it was so cold and even offered me coffee. The guys were such gentleman and helped the ladies with their jackets, they did jumping jacks to stay warm, and got coffee for the beautiful bride Jenna so she wouldn’t freeze!
Before the ceremony it was very important to Jenna and Dave that they pray with each other and for each other without seeing each other before their wedding. It was just before this that I realized I knew Paster Jeremy who was marrying them! My husband and I used to attend Metro Church! Small world. During the prayer, Jenna got emotional. I’m so glad I was able to catch that emotion. She was about to get married which is overwhelming, exciting, and so many other emotions all at the same time.
During portraits we had to take a break to get some hot coffee and thaw out. We then continued photographing portraits for about another 5-10 minutes. I’m so glad we had the opportunity for just a few more portraits during golden hour because I was able to photograph one of my all-time favorite wedding images! With the hydrangea landscaping and Bluemont Vineyard lights I captured this super romantic, dreamy image of Jenna and David that I just adore!
