The week of Brittany’s Bridal Session at Trump Winery, I was checking my weather app constantly! The weather was calling for 100% chance of thunderstorms all day. I emailed Brittany early in the week and let her know that the weather wasn’t looking great. We had already rescheduled once and rescheduling again wasn’t an option because her wedding was in exactly two weeks! I prayed and prayed the weather would work out.
The morning of Brittany’s bridal session, it was spitting rain in Woodbridge. We had a Plan A, B, and C in place depending on the weather. On my way to Charlottesville, the sun came out! It was the first time I had seen the sun in 2 weeks! As I kept driving the skies turned gray and it started pouring. I’m talking 30 miles an hour down the road, windshield wipers on full blast, and I can’t really see out the window type pouring rain. After about 15 minutes, the sky cleared up and it was sunny again! Throughout the entire drive I kept praying the weather would work out well for us.
When I arrived to Trump Winery, it was a beautiful sunny day! Brittany came with her parents who were a huge help with her dress, keeping the dress out of all the mud from all of the rain, and driving up to the church. Her bridal session was perfection! Brittany was stunning, her dress was flawless, and I couldn’t even believe how the weather held up. At the end of the session, we heard thunder. We could tell it was getting closer but we finished the last few shots and said our goodbyes.
About 10 minutes into my drive home, the radio’s national weather alert was beeping, my iPhones flash flood emergency alert was going off and it got DARK! The sky looked pretty scary but I didn’t care. I was so happy with how the weather worked out and honestly still in disbelief!
