Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

Last year because of the government shutdown, Nicole and Thomas weren’t able to have their dream wedding at the RiverView at Occoquan. They ended up eloping in southern Virginia and now I’m finding myself enjoying couple’s sessions I have with them this year. This first session was a fun couple’s session and a 30th birthday session for Nicole. I’m thankful I’ve gotten to see Nicole multiple times since their engagement session in 2019. Though I am still super bummed I wasn’t able to document their wedding day, I’m so happy I’m still getting to see Nicole and Thomas and keep in touch with them.
For their couple’s session, we went to the Virginia Arboretum which is super close to my home. I love this location because it’s gorgeous, huge, and there are tons of photogenic locations, not to mention there is free parking and it’s free to enter! It was a chilly but gorgeous day in January. I’m so thankful we had such a pretty day! The sun was shining and we had a blast. I’m looking forward to our next session together in April to celebrate and capture their one year anniversary.
