Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

Kevin and Holly tied the knot last Sunday during their evening DACOR Bacon House DC wedding. They were surrounded by their friends and family, many who traveled from Oklahoma to celebrate with them, including Holly’s Dad who had the honor of marrying Holly and Kevin! What a special gift it is to be able to not only walk Holly down the aisle but also marry his daughter and now his son in law.
It’s hard to believe I met Holly and Kevin almost a year ago for their engagement session where I got to learn a little more about them and hear how they met. When these two first met each other, they began talking and 4 hours later realized they never made it to dinner. They knew that there was something special about the other person because it takes a chemistry and a connection to loose time like that and forget all about dinner.
Holly is very much into politics and everything government. She loves being in DC for this very reason (other than Kevin). Holly requested we take a few portraits at the Eisenhower Building since it was her favorite building in DC and was walking distance from DACOR Bacon House. I didn’t want to immediately say “yes” just in case something were to happen and we weren’t able to. I didn’t want Holly to be disappointed but I also knew that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that we had to make happen no matter what and I’m SO glad we did!! On the walk there, so many people were congratulating them as they walked by, drove by, and one tourist even asked to take their photo.
Their evening DC wedding was such a fun celebration under the open sky filled with laughter and dancing. Holly and her Dad even had a special dance after the traditional father/ daughter dance they busted out the moves! It was so cute!
Thank you Holly and Kevin for choosing me to capture your wedding and your love!
Special thank you to all vendors who made Holly and Kevin’s wedding so special.
