Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

While Kayla and her mom were in town from Texas, I finally got the chance to meet them! Kayla and I had talked on the phone, emailed back and forth and I couldn’t wait to meet her in person. As soon as I meet her and her mom I knew I was going to love her! Kayla was fun, super sweet, and filled with joy. She gushed over Gabe, the proposal, and her gorgeous wedding plans so far! Gabe had proposed almost a year prior but since he was away serving our country, Kayla and her mom were planning the wedding. While they were in Virginia, they were able to see the venue they booked, find a baker and florist and all the fun wedding planning before heading back to Texas.
Fast forward two months I got to meet Gabe!! We meet at Leesylvania State Park for Kayla and Gabe’s engagement session. The day was absolutely gorgeous, arguably the most beautiful day we have had all year so the park was packed!! Luckily, Leesylvania State Park is also huge!! We walked past family reunions, picnics, baby shower, and even a wedding reception and found perfect locations for their romantic engagement photos. My favorite location was definitely by the water! Love the beach vibe even though it’s a river!
Photographing Kayla and Gabe was a lot of fun! They are a super fun couple, playing jokes on each other, making silly faces, and enjoying the moment! I received a text the next morning from Kayla telling me how much fun they had and how they couldn’t stop talking out their engagement session. I am so thankful for couples like them! Looking forward to photographing their fall wedding in October at the Marriott Ranch!
