Jeff and Maddy said “I do” on June 17th, 2017 at TCP Potomac. The wedding day was calling for 60% chance rain early in the week. As the week went on the percentage decreased. All prayers were answered because the day of the wedding was completely rain free!
Saturday morning I began as usual. I found Maddy and gave her a big hug, met her bridal party and immediately start photographing the details. Maddy was prepared! She gave me her box of details all were perfect! From the invitations, to jewelry, to her gorgeous bouquet no detail was forgotten.
It’s always fun watching the bridesmaids get ready. They laugh, share stories, sometimes share a few tears, but are always supportive and so excited to share this special day with their friend. These girls were lots of fun! We started by taking photos of them in their bridesmaids gift robes. How fun are those photos?! Afterwards, Maddy put on her dress and shortly after shared a first look with her father. It was then time to head to the church!
The perish they married in was beautiful. Usually Catholic churches are dark but this church had windows everywhere and felt very open. Both Jeff and Maddy walked in with their parents which I’ve never seen but what a special memory to share! After the ceremony we took family photos in the church, bridal party photos outside the church and then focused on the newlyweds! We finished fairly quickly and they were able to relax on the party bus before heading into the reception.
At the reception, the DJ really got the party started after Jeff and Maddy’s sunset photos! What a party! He did an awesome job.
Jeff and Maddy are the sweetest couple. They thanked me several times through their day and were so grateful. I’m grateful for the amazing, Godly couple they are and was so honored to have photographed their wedding.
