Katie and Steven Leesylvania State Park Engagement Session
This engagement session is giving me all the 4th of July feels. Between the jeans and bare feet, it’s putting me in the mood for a piece of blueberry pie and fireworks!! I’m so thankful Katie and Steven were able to meet me an hour early for their engagement session. The weather was calling for severe thunderstorms and it looked very much like a storm was rolling in. We worked fast and they were even able to change outfits!
The day was pretty dark and gloomy, spitting rain during the whole session but at the very end, it got really dark, you could hear the thunder rolling in and once we heard it getting closer we knew it was time to leave. Thank goodness we did because not even 5 minutes after I got into my car, it started to pour rain. On my drive home the wind was swaying my car at the light, it starting hailing, I couldn’t see out of my car so I turned on my flashers, and all I could think about was my sweet couple on the road! Thankfully they stopped and got something to eat to wait out the storm because it was rough! No sense at all in driving in that craziness.
The next morning I saw on the local news that 6 people were injured at the park. It didn’t say how or from what but it made me thankful we left when we did and were safe about all of our decisions.
Looking forward to their May 2020 wedding and hoping we don’t have a crazy storm like this again!
