Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

This Marriott Ranch Virginia Blush Wedding was forecasted to thunderstorm all day long!! Amie and Doug were so calm and kept positive even though it was thunder-storming outside, the rain was beating up against the windows, and they were supposed to have their ceremony outdoors in 2 hours!
Magically, when it was time for Amie and Doug’s first look, the rain had stopped! When I went to find Amie for her first look and told her the rain stopped, she was so excited and said, “does this mean we can do our first look outside?!” with the biggest, most excited smile. I of course said, “Heck yes girl!”
The rain held off so long, I was able to photograph Amie and Doug’s portraits and the entire bridal party portraits outside! When it was time for the ceremony to begin, it started to pour again but as soon as Amie walked down the aisle, the rain stopped, she was stunning, and they had a beautiful ceremony under the pavilion.
The rest of the evening was clear and so picture perfect. One of my favorite moments from their wedding was of course how excited Amie was when I told her the rain stopped. Another was when Amie saw a group of her friends standing up on the hill and asked if they wanted a picture. Immediately they literally screamed “OMGOSH YESSS we love you.” They were not so subtly waiting to be asked and their reaction was priceless! What a fun group of girlfriends. Another favorite moment was hearing the maid of honor’s speech. She shared some stories of Amie when they were freshmen in college and man were they super clever!
This wedding was unlike any wedding I’ve ever photographed. Almost everyone flew in to celebrate with Amie and Doug. There were people from all across the U.S. like Idaho, Colorado, Illinois, Nebraska, and I’m sure I’m missing so many other places. They had so many friends and family fly so far to see them and celebrate with them and it shows how special they are.
It was such a treat to be a part of Amie and Doug’s becoming husband and wife! This job is really unlike any other!
Special thanks to all of the vendor who made Amie and Doug’s wedding so special!
