What a gorgeous weekend for a Memorial Day Ceresville Mansion Wedding! I might be a little biased since I got married Memorial Day weekend 6 years ago! Gordon and Leah tied the knot on Saturday at the Ceresville Mansion in Fredrick, Maryland. This was the first time I had visited this venue. From the photos, I thought the mansion would have been tucked away on a plantation but it was right near the main road! When my GPS told me to turn, I was all confused but luckily there was a large sign that read Ceresville Mansion.
The Ceresville Mansion was built in the 1800’s and it simply stunning! It reminded me of the home I grew up in. The architecture, double set of stairs, hallways, and doors made it a really unique layout and super fun to explore!
During their ceremony it started to spit rain, then it started to pour! Leah had this look in her eyes like “what do we do?!” Gordon assured her it was ok and they kept on. Most guests took cover under the trees while others were given umbrellas to keep dry. As soon as they said I Do and walked down the aisle together, it stopped raining long enough for all the guests to make their way inside.
This wedding was filled with joy and lots of love. Leah’s family made all the cookies from the incredible dessert spread, family helped create the florals and Kate from the Mansion made sure everything went smoothly. The venue smelled like freshly baked cookies and you better believe I ate one during the reception! I loved all the traditional dances Leah and Gordon did during their reception. That was so much fun to capture!! You can see their love for each other just radiate through being together.
