Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

Back in the summer, I photographed Charlie’s family, her mom Sarah, dad Matt, and brother Jackson. It was a super hot day in July, Matt was getting ready to deploy and Sarah knew she wanted to capture these precious moments before he had to leave. I’m so thankful and honored that they choose me. Now just a few short months later Charlie Nichole is here! We did her newborn session when she was just 10 days old and Daddy would be back home in 300 days.
When Sarah first told me about their story, how Matt would miss Charlie’s birth since he was serving our country, I wanted to make sure I did something extra special for their newborn session. Since Matt is in the military in the Air Force I had a newborn girl’s Air Force outfit made for the image I had in mind (in the blog post). It turned out exactly how I visioned it but even better since Charlie gave me a smile.
Sarah and her Dad came to Charlie’s newborn session. It was a chilly fall morning which was much different from the last saw Sarah back in July. My newborn sessions are 2-3 hours to make time for feeding, changing, rocking back to sleep, etc. We finished her newborn session in just 2 hours! This is my absolute favorite newborn to date because Charlie was so calm, she practially posed herself, and her fingers were perfectly flat (which every newborn photographer jumps for joy when this happens). I love every single image in this blog post. I can’t get over her amazing hair and her sweet little smile.
When Sarah received her images she said she teared up! This just reminds me why I love what I do <3.
To all of the men and woman who serve our country and those who wait for them, thank you.
