Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

I’ve enjoyed getting to know Sam and Nick over these last few months! We first met over coffee in Woodbridge at my to go Starbucks. We talked about their wedding plans so far and what they were looking for in their engagement and wedding photographer. At the end of our meeting we scheduled their engagement session at Jones Point Park. They love all things water so I thought it be perfect to get photos at Jones Point by the water and the lighthouse!
We had a beautiful summer day for Sam and Nick’s engagement session. It was a hot day but it was gorgeous day and the evenings golden hour was perfect. I was able to teach them different poses I use that is almost practice for the wedding day portraits. It’s always fun teaching, photographing, and really getting to know my couples during their engagement sessions.
When I delivered their engagement gallery, Sam told me the images made her tear up!! She explained why she loved the images so much and just how much they meant to her. You never really know what someone is going through and it’s reasons like this I love being a photographer. I love capturing stories!! Life is short and it’s so important to capture all your memories!
I’m excited to photograph their April 2018 wedding in Maryland!
