Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

Congratulations Nick and Jordan who said “I do” on October 1st 2016 in Mount Airy, Maryland. This might just be my new favorite wedding venue. I loved the rolling hills, the simple but spacious bridal suite, reception space, the open vineyards, and the amazing views! This winery is out there, let me tell you. My GPS didn’t know where I was but I ended up finding the venue, thank goodness for wayfinding.
I had a lot of fun photographing Jordan’s dress, the bridesmaids dresses, and other details before Jordan came into the bridal suite. When the bridesmaids came into the bridal suite, they all had on beautiful matching robes to get ready in. I thought Jordan’s dress was gorgeous when I was photographing it but when she put it on and she put her sparkly top over it she looked absolutely stunning! Once the girls were ready we took a few photos up near the rustic barn before the groom and his groomsmen arrived. We were able to have Jordan back in hiding once the guys arrived. The groomsmen had the best gift I’ve ever seen! Personalized flasks! I thought this was such a neat and appropriate groomsmen gift.
The ceremony was moved under a shelter since it was still raining. It was such a sweet ceremony. In Jordan’s vows she mentioned how she never thought marriage was the thing for her….until she met Nick. It was such a beautiful moment.
After the ceremony we took family photos and a surprise mariachi band arrived. Not going to lie, this is the second wedding this has happened to me! The rain has mostly stopped by this point so we took bridal party photos and then, of course, focused on Nick and Jordan. I absolutely love the different views that Linganore Wincellars has to offer. Not only do they have beautiful rolling hills but they have a vineyard, a barn, and a pond!! These portraits may have been my most favorite bride and groom portraits that I’ve taken to date.
