Spring Piedmont Club Wedding

May 8, 2019

Shannon and Lyndsey’s Spring Piedmont Club Wedding was a breezy 70 degree day. Lyndsey looked absolutely stunning walking down the aisle with her father as her long veil was blowing in the breeze. When she was close enough to Shannon, he wiped his tears and mouthed the words “you look absolutely beautiful.”

Unfortunately, one of Shannon’s brothers was deployed at the beginning of the month. I love that we live in a world of technology because his wife was able to FaceTime him so he could watch their ceremony and talk with them afterwards. Since he couldn’t be there in person, FaceTime and a little doll with his body on it was the next best thing!

During the reception, each couple in the bridal party was introduced with their own fun, pump up song. Shannon and Lyndsey immediately went into their first dance and while their first dance was really sweet, Shannon broke out his dance moves a little later on in the night. He picked Lyndsey up and danced with her like he was performing on Dancing with the Stars!! He told me afterwards he had no idea what he was doing but it sure looked incredible!

Their wedding cake from Crumbles Cake CO and was probably the prettiest wedding cake I’ve ever seen! I do believe actual wedding cakes are coming back and cupcakes are going out of style. This 4 tired, 4 layered cake had a delicate lace design and the most gorgeous hanging florals. I was curious what flavor it was. I saw a chocolate (which I am not a fan of) and then, what I thought was a vanilla. I got a piece and to my surprise it was a cinnamon crunch! Think Panera’s cinnamon crunch bagel in a wedding cake form. It was delicious and my probably my new favorite wedding cake flavor!

The night ended with a fairy tale sparkler exit and giving the newlyweds a goodbye hug. These two are an amazing couple and I’m so thankful I have been able to get to know them and photograph them several times over this past year.

Here are a few of my favorites from their Piedmont Club Wedding in Haymarket, Virginia.
