Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

Monica and Justin met and fell in love at UVA while attending college. It made perfect sense to get married in UVA’s gorgeous Chapel. They said “I Do” August 25th 2018 which was too funny since that was UVA’s move-in day! They received so many congratulations from students and parents across campus.
Before they went to the chapel, they shared a first touch in a nearby garden. I had never witnessed a first touch and I must say, I’m a big fan! It’s a great way to get more portraits together without actually seeing each other. After their ceremony, we walked across campus photographing portraits in various locations and finished portraits at their reception venue Castle Hill Cider. This wedding venue is gorgeous! We had the opportunity to photograph 3 minutes of sunset portraits before the sun went behind the trees. It was oh so magical.
Monica and Justin began their reception with a slow, romantic first dance turned choreographed surprise dance then the entire bridal party joined in on the dance! It was so fun to watch!
I had the opportunity to photograph Monica and Justin’s wedding alongside Emily and her husband!
Special thank you to all the vendors who made Monica and Justin’s wedding so special.
