Hello! My name is Sarah Botta and I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer. The feel of a 4x6 image in my hands reliving captured memories is what lead to me falling in love with photography when I was only 6! It wasn’t until after I got married in 2013, I turned my love for photography into a business. My style is romantic, elegant, classic portraits full of beautiful light. When I’m not photographing anything you can find me enjoying a cup of coffee either from a local coffee shoppe or on the couch with my husband and daughter, exploring the great outdoors, swimming or skiing. I’m known for smiling a lot, being adventurous, enjoying and adapting to any situation. I adore working with adventurous, head-over-heels in love couples and can’t wait to tell your story.
On my blog I share my recent work, wedding planning tips, as well as stories from my latest travels and adventures.

It’s been another busy week/ weekend for Sarah Botta Photography. Last week, I announced that I am now a full time photographer which is exciting and scary all at the same time. It’s so surreal and I keep pinching myself because is this really real life? Thank you all for your support over the years which has led to this super exciting announcement!! I am blown away by all of your messages, emails, and texts. Your support means the world!
This past week I photographed two newborns, two weddings, and 1 elopement! I often get asked the question which I love more – newborns or weddings? There are certain things about each that I just love! It’s also really fun when a past bride calls me and tells me they are now expecting. That’s the best! I feel like I am a part of their life in a tiny way and get to share some of life’s biggest moments with them. Seriously, I have the best job in the world.
Yesterday evening, my husband and I got our 5 year anniversary photos taken with Bethanne Arther Photography! We had originally planned the session for May but we kept getting rained out. We had the perfect day for photos yesterday and I can’t wait to see them!
A few take aways/ lessons learned from this weeks events:
– The Duesenberg, a luxury automobile in the early 1900’s during the depression was sold for $19,000 when a typical family car was being sold for just $500! The Duesenberg would have been worth well over a million dollars today; hence, the popular phrase, “that’s a duesy.”
– During Saturday’s wedding, Ellen and her sisters had a fun sister photo taken together which they called the “Ellen sandwich”. For my weddings now, I want to try to remember to get a photo with my amazing couples and get my own Sarah sandwich!
– Every wedding I had this week, the groom, groomsmen, or a combination told me how much fun they had getting their photos taken. They were expecting the worst or expecting a similar experience from previous weddings. They all thanked me for making it so much fun! Music to my ears!
