Over the weekend, I had the honor of photographing Shannon and Lyndsey’s wedding at the Piedmont Club. We had the most incredibly warm 70 degree April day filled with a lot of breeze and for the most part, made the wind work in our favor.
Shannon and Lyndsey first met in 2012 and after years of dating finally tied the knot! Lyndsey has the coolest job. She is a DNA analyst and Shannon likes to referring to her as his hot scientist, haha! For their wedding favors, they put green M&M’s (since green was their wedding color) in test tubes with lab result stickers. Is that not the most clever wedding favor?!
I met Shannon and Lyndsey about a year ago and over the past year was able to met with them and photograph them several times! I not only photographed their engagement session but also photographed their Christmas session with their dog Gracie. I feel like I was able to get to know them so much better especially having two sessions with them instead of just the engagement session. They truly felt like friends getting married and I am over the moon excited for them to start their married life together.
A few take aways/ lessons learned from this weekends events:
– This was my first wedding photographed at the Piedmont Club. It’s such a beautiful country club and it’s in my friends neighboorhood!
– Golfers take their golf game very seriously.
– I should probably write a blog post check list for grooms with everything they need to bring to the wedding. Lyndsey made Shannon a list of everything he should bring but forgot to include his shirt on the list and guess what he forgot haha. Ops! Brides, let me know if you think this blog post would be helpful and what all you think should be included.
