This July, Katie and Steven got married!! Their Summer COVID Rose Hill Manor Wedding was my first wedding in 2020. It had been 7 long months since photographing my last wedding in December. Words couldn’t express how much excitement I had leading up to this wedding. I had so much creative energy and couldn’t wait to get back into the swing of things. Now I won’t lie, in my mind I thought, “Will I even remember how to work my camera and know what to do?” I had been photographing Ally (all the time) and kept my details game sharp by photographing flay lays but still the thought popped into my head. After all it had been 7 months!! Almost all of my 2020 weddings postponed to 2021. Katie and Steven postponed from May to July so I was so happy to have a 2020 wedding.
Katie and Steven are the sweetest couple and after meeting their parents, know I know why. I felt so loved and respected at their wedding. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was so kind to me and my second shooter. It’s not that wedding guests are typically mean or rude it’s just that their guests went out of their way to talk to me and the overall vibe was incredibly kind and happy.
During the reception, Katie’s sister brought these notes that Katie wrote when she was a little girl. Her sister kept them knowing they were interesting notes and that one day they would be good to read at her wedding. The notes didn’t make much sense but everyone got a good laugh, even Katie.
Rose Hill Manor is nestled in a neighborhood right before you get too Luckett’s in Leesburg. Their reception area is white with tall ceilings which I absolutely love!! The bridal suite is large and there are 3 rooms they can choose to be in.
See my favorites from their wedding below. <3

The charm of Rust Manor House set the stage for a wedding that was classic, elegant, and modern. Nestled in the peaceful embrace of a park, this venue provided a secluded, nature-inspired backdrop that perfectly matched the bride’s vision. She fell in love with the calmness of the surroundings, the sounds of birds chirping, and […]
When Scott first reached out about elopement portraits, he was open to any time or place that would capture the most gorgeous images to look back on. Scott and Pilar privately exchanged their vows in a courthouse wedding in Alexandria, creating an intimate start to their journey together. A few weeks later, we met on […]
Every year, fall mini sessions are a huge hit with families! They’re the perfect way to update your annual family portraits and get beautiful images for Christmas cards. In 2024, these Fall Morven Park 2024 Fall Mini sessions sold out quickly, which is why I offered three different dates at three unique locations. Morven Park […]
What do you do when the weather forecast teases rain on your wedding day, but the skies stay dry—right up until the ceremony? If you’re Daisy and Adam, you embrace the moment! As they walked down the aisle at their outdoor ceremony, the rain finally made an appearance. But as Adam so perfectly said during […]
Photographing the Usman Fall Morven Park Family Session again this year was such a treat! We met at the beautiful Morven Park on a stunning fall day in October, with Virginia’s leaves showing off their peak colors. The golden hues, vibrant reds, and deep oranges created the perfect backdrop for this fun and lively session. […]
There’s something so special about capturing a family on the brink of a new chapter. This sweet family of three is soon welcoming their second little girl, and I couldn’t be more excited for them! Ava, their spunky two-year-old, had the best time running around and playing during the session, and her joyful energy brought […]
