Almost a year ago, I met Abby, Xavier, and Xavier’s parents over FaceTime and we chatted all about their Marriott Ranch Hume Virginia Wedding. We chatted all about the details, their vision, and the nitty gritty details that help take a wedding to the next level. Shortly after they decided to move forward and book with me!
The day before their wedding, we met for the first time at Element in Front Royal for their rehearsal dinner. Abby and Xavier wanted to do a few portraits across the street before the dinner which was so fun and memorable. Looking back I wish I had my photographer come to our rehearsal dinner.
The whole wedding weekend was the most perfect fall weather; cool, crisp, and sunny. It was such a nice break from the crazy heat wedding I had all summer. Abby’s sister was her Maid of Honor and Xavier’s brother was his Best Man. I loved how close both the bride and the groom’s side of the family was. It reminded me of my own family and I think that’s another reason I loved everything about this Marriott Ranch wedding. Gorgeous blooms were all around, amazing mountain views, intimate wedding, and a lot of laughter and happy tears.
During the reception, Abby and Xavier both danced with their mothers, their siblings had the sweetest toasts, and they ended the night with a sparkler exit of course! Thank you for choosing me to capture your rehearsal dinner and wedding day. It was such a pleasure getting to know you and work with you!

Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

After a few weather-related reschedules, this year’s mini sessions finally came together on a truly perfect fall day. We photographed it at peak color, and just one week later the leaves […]

Starting the day photographing Meridith and Andrew’s engagement session in Winchester couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]
