Pop the champagne!! Jesse and Monica are engaged and they are celebrating with some bubbly for their mountaintop Bluemont Engagement Session. Much like our initial call, we hit off conversation immediately after seeing each other. I can’t tell you how easy it is to talk with Monica and Jesse. I don’t know if they have the personality where they can chat with anyone or we just mesh well together. In any case, these two are so much fun!!
Engagement sessions are they best when you feel like you are a friend hanging out with friends. The conversations are easy, the laughter is often, and the time spent together is super enjoyable. Together, you can tell Monica and Jesse are meant for each other. They get each other’s jokes, their personalities are similar, and they simply have a fantastic time around each other.
Years ago, they were working at Uncle Julio’s, met each other, and hit it off. They have been together ever since! 7 years later Jesse pops the question. At their wedding, Monica’s father spoke about how well Jesse fit into their family and how he wanted to be good with friends with Jesse also. His wish came true as they are all super close.
Jesse and Monica planned a gorgeous Shenandoah Woods wedding along side their amazing vendor team. What was most important to them, other than getting married, was being able to talk to all of their guests, be part of cocktail hour, and enjoy the day much like their engagement session. Nothing rushed, a slow paced, enjoyable day and that’s exactly how their wedding day went.
Enjoy a few of my favorites from this summer Bluemont Engagement Session.

Some wedding days stay with you not because of every detail, but because of how they felt. This sunny fall wedding at Rust Manor House in Leesburg was exactly that kind of day—calm, beautiful, and filled with so much heart. Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

After a few weather-related reschedules, this year’s mini sessions finally came together on a truly perfect fall day. This tree instantly caught everyone’s attention, with clients asking if it was intentionally chosen for the sessions—and it really did feel meant to be. We photographed it at peak color, and just one week later the leaves […]

Starting the day photographing Meridith and Andrew’s engagement session in Winchester couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]

Watching this sweet family grow over the years has been such an honor—from maternity and newborn photos to family sessions, minis, birthdays, and now welcoming another baby. As they settled into life as a family of four (and wrapped up building their […]
