When Monica and I first hoped on a call to chat about her Shenandoah Woods Virginia Wedding, I immediately felt like I was taking with a friend who I hadn’t talked to in awhile. It felt like we were catching up and I was getting to hear all about her wedding plans. Our conversation was effortless and so much fun. When we got off the phone, I knew I wanted her to have loved our conversation as much as I did and want to move forward with booking. Sure enough I got my favorite email! Monica letting me know she wanted to move forward with me as her and Jesse’s wedding photographer.
Engagement Session
The day of Monica and Jesse’s engagement session was exactly how I remembered Monica on the phone. Happy, bubbly, full of energy, easy to talk to! Their engagement session gave me a chance to see how they interacted together as a couple and how they were behind the camera. Their engagement session was full of laughter and champagne. Once again feeling like I was photographing age old friends on a mountaintop. It was one of the most fun engagement sessions I’ve ever photographed.
Wedding Day
You really never know what summer weddings in the Virginia summer will bring. This August wedding was extremely hot and, you’d never know by the photos, but misty rain on and off through the day. Shenandoah Woods was the perfect venue choice for Monica and Jesse. The venue overlooking an open field was so peaceful and beautiful. Monica and Jesse’s main two goals on their wedding day was to #1 get married and #2 have a great time. Everything through the day was relaxed, fun, and easy going just like their personalities.
One thing I loved most about their wedding was the look on Jesse’s face when Monica walked down the aisle. He was bit choked up and they even had a first look! it was the sweetest moment. I enjoyed photographing this gorgeous wedding in Paige County. Thank you Monica and Jesse for choosing me to capture your wedding day!
