One early morning, I met Lydia and Alex for their Morven Park Engagement Session. We began at 8am when they opened and photographed a little over an hour before the sun got too high and extremely hot, hello humidity and upper 90’s Virginia! When Lydia first contacted me, she mentioned wanting to have her engagement session at Morven Park. I had heard of the location prior and I was so excited to have the opportunity to explore the gorgeous grounds.
Neither Lydia nor Alex had ever been to Morven Park either so it was extra fun exploring the gardens, the pond, and the amazing architecture together. This engagement session was the ultimate practice for their wedding day! They were such naturals at posing and were dressed to impress! In December they plan to get married in Clifton and I am extra excited to capture their wedding. Here are a few of my favorites from their Virginia garden engagement!

Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]
