Of all of the weddings I’ve photographed, I shouldn’t pick a favorite because each is so unique in it’s own way but if I were to pick a favorite, it would be this one. This Private Estate Wedding in Orange, Virginia reminded me of my own wedding: outdoors, private residence, string lights, fun music, closest friends and family. When Charity first told me her vision for her wedding day I knew I would absolutely love it but wondered if she would be able to make her vision a reality. Time and money are never on our side. When I arrived and saw the level of detail and thought that went into every single aspect of this day, I was in awe. I knew it was going to be an epic wedding day. Charity could 100% change professions and be a wedding planner.
When thinking about photos and how the images would be captured, Charity decided to add faux greenery to cover the AC units and basement windows. This itself made the images so much cleaner and beautiful! The fact that she even thought about this made me realize how detail oriented she is!!
Her florist from Knoxville, TN was her cousin who created the most delicate floral earrings, tie, floral crowns and floral arm band. I’ve never seen half of these details! As I was photographing everything I was just in love with the level of creativity, design, colors and absolutely everything about this wedding.
Having met in Afghanistan, Charity and Josh choose companies like Mission BBQ because of their dedication to military and support for service jobs like police and fire departments. A percentage of their profit goes directly to those departments in their respective communities. Fun fact, the cat you see in the images below was found in Afghanistan and they brought him here!
What a dreamy wedding!! Thank you Charity and Josh for choosing me to capture your day.

Some wedding days stay with you not because of every detail, but because of how they felt. Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

After a few weather-related reschedules, this year’s mini sessions finally came together on a truly perfect fall day. We photographed it at peak color, and just one week later the leaves […]

Starting the day photographing Meridith and Andrew’s engagement session in Winchester couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]
