Every year, I love photographing inspiration sessions. Inspiration sessions give me creative freedom and the time to think outside the box. Inspiration sessions also allow me to work with with new and favorite vendors. This year, Alayah with Tilly and Teal reached out to see if I’d be interested in photographing an Oatlands Inspiration Virginia Wedding. I had always wanted to visit this gorgeous historic house and garden so getting to have a styled shoot with a beautiful mood board with a quick “yes!!” from me.
At this inspiration wedding, I met a new vendor whose name is also Sarah! We immediately clicked and became instafriends! She made the most delicious macarons for this inspiration session and just recently moved to the NOVA area! I also got to work with Billy from Whole Heart Studios who I hadn’t seen and worked with in years!
You’d never know from the images but it was such a cold and breezy day! Literally thought I would blow away! Everyone did such an incredible job. Enjoy a few of my favorites images from this Oatlands Inspiration Virginia Wedding.

Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

After a few weather-related reschedules, this year’s mini sessions finally came together on a truly perfect fall day. We photographed it at peak color, and just one week later the leaves […]

Starting the day photographing Meridith and Andrew’s engagement session in Winchester couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]
