What a crazy beginning to spring we have had! I’m so thankful I was able to capture this Spring Woodbridge Cherry Blossom Maternity Session before Virginia’s governor ordered a stay-at-home Executive Order until June! The corona virus turned everyone’s lives upside down. For some it caused crazy anxiety. I can’t imagine being 35 weeks pregnant and not knowing if my husband could be in the delivery room with me. As if your hormones weren’t already wild enough, let’s throw in a pandemic!
I’m so thankful that right before COVID-19 caused a shutdown and a screeching halt to life, we were able to sneak in this Spring Woodbridge Cherry Blossom Maternity Session. We knew the stay-at-home order was likely coming so we made sure to get this Woodbridge Cherry Blossom Maternity Session photographed before we weren’t able and before her baby boy was born. A few days after this Spring Woodbridge Cherry Blossom Maternity Session, the announcement was made that we were ordered to stay-at-home and about a week or two later her baby boy was born!! Momma and son are doing well.
Is she not the most stunning mother? I always love when clients wear solid colored dresses to their sessions. It always keeps the focus on them and not what they are wearing. This momma is absolutely glowing and they are all so very excited to welcome a baby boy.

Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

After a few weather-related reschedules, this year’s mini sessions finally came together on a truly perfect fall day. This tree instantly caught everyone’s attention, with clients asking if it was intentionally chosen for the sessions—and it really did feel meant to be. We photographed it at peak color, and just one week later the leaves […]

Starting the day photographing Meridith and Andrew’s engagement session in Winchester couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]
