With intimate weddings on the rise, I wanted to do a Garden Inspired Intimate Wedding. I started scrolling through Instagram and came across the Ballenger Farm. Immediately, I loved the stone wall the farm. The stone wall was the inspiration to this Ballenger Farm Garden Inspired Intimate Wedding.
The first time I visited the Ballenger Farm, I immediately fell in love with the drive down the farm lane and the animals that met you on your drive in. The farm has goats, chickens, and ducks! I also love Liz who owns and runs the farm. Her happy, excited, soft voice is very calming. She was so excited for us to have an inspiration shoot at her farm. She gave us a tour and let us hold Elvis, the rooster.
The day of the inspiration session, it was raining and we did not have a rain backup plan other than a lot of prayer. I tried every plan possible, switching days, different time, etc.; however, all vendors were only available the day we had planned. Every inspiration session and real wedding day wants gorgeous weather and everything to go perfectly; however, sometimes that’s just not the case. The rainy weather definitely wasn’t ideal. It was spitting rain most of the day and by the time we had everything set up and ready for our inspiration shoot, it started down pouring. All the table settings got soaked! I was happy I had taken a few images before the rain started.
All this talk about the weather to say, brides, if you’re reading this and there is rain on your wedding day, rest assured that you will still have gorgeous images of your day. Rain won’t stop me!
