At the end of 2019, I really wanted to plan and photograph an inspiration shoot at the Red Fox Inn. When I set my mind to do something, I go all in. I got straight to work and came up with a theme, design board, found all the vendors, selected the date, models, and The Red Fox Inn was ready for us. Everything fell into place perfectly. The planner and I did a final walk through about a month prior to the inspiration shoot and then BAM! COVID.
About a week before the inspiration shoot, we made the tough decision to postpone. We had put so much heart and soul into the inspiration shoot only for it to not be able to happen. It was very disheartening. I knew in the back of my head that eventually I wanted to have an inspiration shoot at the Red Fox Inn.
One day in early 2021, I was scrolling through Instagram and saw that Cultivate and Create was hosting an inspiration shoot at the Red Fox Inn! I liked the mood board so I hopped on the opportunity. I was so super excited about this inspiration shoot because in a way it felt like I was getting a second chance and I surely wasn’t going to miss out this time.
The day of the inspiration shoot was literally the perfect day. Somehow we managed to have an 80 degree day in early March. After being cooped up most of the winter and not being able to photograph for about a year, I can’t tell you how refreshing and exciting this inspiration shoot was. I was able to work with models and vendors I had never worked with before and capture some really gorgeous images that have me super excited about the year ahead.
Thank you to all the vendors who made this Inspiration Shoot at the Red Fox Inn possible:

She fell in love with the calmness of the surroundings, the sounds of birds chirping, and […]

Scott and Pilar privately exchanged their vows in a courthouse wedding in Alexandria, creating an intimate start to their journey together. A few weeks later, we met on […]

What do you do when the weather forecast teases rain on your wedding day, but the skies stay dry—right up until the ceremony? If you’re Daisy and Adam, you embrace the moment! As they walked down the aisle at their outdoor ceremony, the rain finally made an appearance. But as Adam so perfectly said during […]
Photographing the Usman Fall Morven Park Family Session again this year was such a treat! We met at the beautiful Morven Park on a stunning fall day in October, with Virginia’s leaves showing off their peak colors. The golden hues, vibrant reds, and deep oranges created the perfect backdrop for this fun and lively session. […]
There’s something so special about capturing a family on the brink of a new chapter. This sweet family of three is soon welcoming their second little girl, and I couldn’t be more excited for them! Ava, their spunky two-year-old, had the best time running around and playing during the session, and her joyful energy brought […]
