When Leana and Edwin’s Morais Vineyard Virginia Wedding inquiry initially came through and I saw they were getting married at Morais Vineyards, I could barely contain my excitement. I had wanted to photograph at Morais but hadn’t had the opportunity just yet. Once Leana and I chatted on the phone about their wedding, I knew she had incredible taste and it was going to be an absolutely stunning wedding. Originally, they were supposed to get married in September 2020 but of course COVID forced them to postpone to April and again to June. Finally, they were able to get married!! I guess the 3rd time is the charm, right?
Since Leana and I chatted via email, phone, and Instagram for about a year and a half before her wedding, I felt like I already knew her and had known her for a long time when I arrived on her wedding day even though we had never met. Following her on Instagram and seeing all of her and Edwin’s travel adventures gave me a good sense of how they were as a couple. The day of her wedding I walked in and immediately felt like best friends.
When I first arrived for their Morais Vineyard Virginia Wedding, it was spitting rain but I could tell it was going to clear and be a gorgeous sunny day. Just as I predicted, the rain left and gave us all the yummy sunlight. I walked into the bridal suite, met all of Leana’s bridesmaids and finally got to meet Leana! Leana’s Maid of Honor and bridesmaids set up all the florals around the mantel which made for an extremely gorgeous area for Leana’s getting ready photos. Leana’s wedding inspiration came from Anna Heinrich’s wedding. She loved the all white dresses, beautiful florals everywhere and everything classic and romantic. Having florals in the background of images was on thing Leana really loved so her bridesmaids really nailed it!! Photographing Leana and Ewin’s Morais Vineyard Virginia Wedding was a dream!
Everything about Leana and Edwin’s Morais Vineyard Virginia Wedding was so gorgeous. It was such a calm and fun day! During their reception, they danced to a few traditional songs which was so much fun to watch and photograph.
Congratulations Leana and Edwin and thank you for choosing me to capture your big day!

Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

After a few weather-related reschedules, this year’s mini sessions finally came together on a truly perfect fall day. We photographed it at peak color, and just one week later the leaves […]

Starting the day photographing Meridith and Andrew’s engagement session in Winchester couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]
