Mike proposed to Natalie at the Lincoln Memorial a few months ago. When Natalie and I were chatting during our initial phone call, I knew she would want engagement photos in DC. As timing would have it, the Cherry Blossoms were going to peak in about two weeks! Natalie immediately wanted to move forward with booking and we planned their DC Cherry Blossom Engagement Session.
I haven’t photographed a cherry blossom session in a few years since, you know…but I’m so glad things are starting to get back to “normal”. I left my house at 5am to be in DC at sunrise. To my surprise, I’ve never seen the Tidal Basin so packed!! I believe it’s because the next few days were calling for rain and the past 2 years people haven’t been able to see the blossoms.
Mike, Natalie and I met up and we photographed their engagement session around various areas near the Tidal Basin. When I photograph couples who feel like they could be friends I just haven’t seen in awhile, it’s the best. We got to chat more about their wedding plans and got to know each other better. Learning how much we had in common was so much fun!
Enjoy a few of my favorites! Looking forward to photographing this amazing couple at Rust Manor House in September 2023.

As 2023 drew to a close, I had the privilege of capturing the radiant moments of David and Laura’s Maternity Session in the heart of Downtown Winchester, Virginia. Returning to PawPaw, West Virginia, to photograph Baby Wren was an incredibly special journey for me. Having recently documented the newborn session of her older twin sisters, this experience held a unique resonance. As a mom of twins myself, I understand the delightful chaos that often accompanies such moments. The prospect of capturing that bustling […]

This is precisely what drew Kaylin and Gabriel to choose the Red Fox […]
