Thanksgiving evening, I was on my couch brainstorming beautiful floral filled sessions. I probably should have been enjoying a good movie with some pie but I was in a creative mood. When I’m feeling creative it’s a nonstop train! I was thinking of sessions that focused on moms but also filled with florals. Then the inspiration hit me! What a fantastic event to do indoors in March to have the perfect Mother’s Day gift come May! I reached out to my favorite florist Karla with Petalos DC and Thanksgiving evening my Motherhood in Bloom Sessions were a dream I was determined to make a reality.
Studio Locations
I designed an inspiration board, Karla sent me a floral board, and I went around Northern Virginia visiting studios. The perfect studio for these Motherhood in Bloom Sessions was the Dogwood Studio in Alexandria. I loved how the space was filled with light even on a cloudy rainy day when I visited.
Sessions
These Motherhood inspired sessions were the perfect way for moms with littles and expecting moms to get timeless images surrounded by the most beautiful floral installation. I’m still in awe these sessions came together so well and hope to continue these sessions year after year.
