Gaylord National Harbor Wedding

filed under

When couples tell me they will be getting ready at a hotel, I immediately think of the typical hotel room with crazy patterned carpet, yellow curtains, and overall dark, cramped space. Not in this case! This Gaylord National Harbor Wedding hotel was a huge suite with windows everywhere, modern everything, and it was so big Devon couldn’t hear me knocking since she was 3 doors down. Walking in and was in awe of the space and realized they also have their own private outdoor space. We photographed the majority of portraits in the private space before heading downstairs. The main areas were full of people and we wanted to keep moments private.

Reception

Devon told me that she and Amir and her and her Dad had practiced choreographed dances. She was a bit nervous about her and Amir’s dance because she was doing a flip in her wedding dress! Devon wanted to make sure she could practice the flip at least once bustled in her dress. These two came into their reception with hands in the air, smiling from ear to ear, and headed straight for their first dance. I must say they performed my most favorite bride/ groom choreographed dance ever! It was so much fun to watch and photograph and the best way to kick off a fun night with their guests.

Thank you Devon and Amir for choosing me to capture your gorgeous day!
