This Great Marsh Estate Wedding was one wedding I was looking forward to photographing all wedding season! Great Marsh is such a gorgeous venue and when you drive along the driveway, you feel like you’re in Europe. When Julie, Jack, and I first chatted over the phone, they mentioned how they were a little boojee and they wanted a lot of portrait time of the two of them. I thought “hello dream clients!” Photographing the couple is one of my top three parts of a wedding day to photograph! It is their special day after all.
Julie and Jack didn’t opt for an engagement session so their wedding day was the first day I had met them in person. Their reactions during their first look were seriously priceless and made me fall in love with them as a couple. I thought I was going to tear up! Some couples you can just tell they are truly meant for one another and Julie and Jack are 100% one of those couples.
Their wedding day was the hottest wedding I photographed all season. If I remember correctly, the heat index was over 100!! Julie and Jack were such good sports and were up for creating gorgeous portraits even in the crazy heat so they could chill during cocktail hour. They had a candlelight reception filled with tears, dancing, and amazing food.
This wedding was such an inspiration and so much fun to photograph. Thank you Julie and Jack for trusting me to capture your day.

As 2023 drew to a close, I had the privilege of capturing the radiant moments of David and Laura’s Maternity Session in the heart of Downtown Winchester, Virginia. It felt like just yesterday when I first met this wonderful couple during their engagement session in 2019 – a memorable time when I was heavily pregnant […]
Returning to PawPaw, West Virginia, to photograph Baby Wren was an incredibly special journey for me. Having recently documented the newborn session of her older twin sisters, this experience held a unique resonance. As a mom of twins myself, I understand the delightful chaos that often accompanies such moments. The prospect of capturing that bustling […]
Nestled in the heart of Middleburg, the Red Fox Inn may seem like just a building from the road, but step onto its grounds, and you’ll discover a hidden gem of a wedding venue—a secret garden of enchanting paths and captivating landscapes. This is precisely what drew Kaylin and Gabriel to choose the Red Fox […]
