Rachael and Joe had one of the most beautiful wedding’s I’ve ever photographed at Marriott Ranch. Their easy, go-with-the-flow attitudes towards the expected rain through the day made for an even more enjoyable experience. Even though Rachael and Joe didn’t initially want to have a first look, I asked if they would be open to having one before the forecast said it would start raining. They were both happy to have one and get a few outdoor portraits before the rain. Joe looked like he was getting super choked up but once he saw his beautiful bride he just melted. They both high-fived each other because they both looked so good. I love their fun personalities!
Having photographed a dozen weddings at Marriott Ranch, I’ve never seen donkeys until this Rainy Marriott Ranch Wedding! While we were taking Rachael’s bridal portraits, the donkeys were in the background. We thought it be so cool to get a few photos with the donkeys in the background and we did! Then the donkeys kept getting closer and closer until they almost stepped on Rachael’s dress!! Rachael’s sister helped her move to the other side of the fence while I whisked the donkey’s away.
Upon walking into the reception space, I immediately noticed the greenery install on the light fixture, the incredible cookie and dessert bar, and the most unique table settings and seating chart I’ve ever seen. When I mentioned to Rachael how beautiful it all was she said it was all designed and planned by her mom! Talk about talent!
This wedding was such an inspiration and so much fun to photograph. Thank you Rachael and Joe for trusting me to capture your day.

Some wedding days stay with you not because of every detail, but because of how they felt. This sunny fall wedding at Rust Manor House in Leesburg was exactly that kind of day—calm, beautiful, and filled with so much heart. Rust Manor House was glowing in the autumn light, with crisp air, golden leaves, and […]

After a few weather-related reschedules, this year’s mini sessions finally came together on a truly perfect fall day. We photographed it at peak color, and just one week later the leaves […]

Starting the day photographing Meridith and Andrew’s engagement session in Winchester couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun rose, a soft layer of fog rolled in, creating the dreamiest atmosphere and the most beautifully moody images. After having to reschedule because of rain, we decided to embrace the fog—and it added so much character […]
