What a celebration that was had for Tra and Chris’s RiverView at Occoquan Virginia Wedding. After having to postpone a year due to COVID restrictions they were finally able to celebrate amongst their friends and family. We had the most beautiful and Spring day and I was so happy to work with some of my favorite wedding vendors again as well as meeting a few new favorites.
A few minutes before the ceremony began, a random kite that was stuck in a tree above the ceremony space got loose and started flying around. The string attached flew all over the DJ and freaked him out since he did’n’t know what it was. Luckily, the kite didn’t hit anyone during the ceremony and didn’t make too much noise. During cocktail hour the kite was eventually low enough for someone to grab and throw away.
Tra and Chris were all smiles and waves as they walked in their gorgeous reception space. They shared a beautiful choreographed dance followed by a few tears during toasts. I think one of the top things they were looking forward to during their reception was the cake! As they were cutting they exclaimed how excited they were and how they had waited over a year to enjoy this cake. They took one bite and went to heaven. Liberty Baking Company knocked it out of the park with taste and absolutely gorgeous design.

Nestled in the peaceful embrace of a park, this venue provided a secluded, nature-inspired backdrop that perfectly matched the bride’s vision. She fell in love with the calmness of the surroundings, the sounds of birds chirping, and […]

Scott and Pilar privately exchanged their vows in a courthouse wedding in Alexandria, creating an intimate start to their journey together. A few weeks later, we met on […]

What do you do when the weather forecast teases rain on your wedding day, but the skies stay dry—right up until the ceremony? If you’re Daisy and Adam, you embrace the moment! As they walked down the aisle at their outdoor ceremony, the rain finally made an appearance. But as Adam so perfectly said during […]
Photographing the Usman Fall Morven Park Family Session again this year was such a treat! We met at the beautiful Morven Park on a stunning fall day in October, with Virginia’s leaves showing off their peak colors. The golden hues, vibrant reds, and deep oranges created the perfect backdrop for this fun and lively session. […]
There’s something so special about capturing a family on the brink of a new chapter. This sweet family of three is soon welcoming their second little girl, and I couldn’t be more excited for them! Ava, their spunky two-year-old, had the best time running around and playing during the session, and her joyful energy brought […]
